ABOUT US
Risa Theatrical Productions is committed to producing the best family based theatrical entertainment of the highest quality. Our mandate is to educate and inspire young audiences in the dramatic arts and therefore create a vibrant theatrical community for the future.
We are also committed to involving the local Community by providing opportunities for young performers to actually be a part of a professional theatrical production. This means invaluable experience for locally selected performers.
We do not simply present shows, but rather create experiential productions where young and old will be able to participate, get involved, but most of all enjoy!
Here are just a few comments that Teachers, Principals and the general public had to say about our production of Aladdin last year in the Durham Region.

...we all really enjoyed the show - it was brilliantly done - kudos to Carol. She should be presented with a big bouquet of flowers every nite for the work she has put into that show. So impressed with the costumes!

We all enjoyed the performance. You should be pleased to have put together a great production. I thought the costumes were amazing and the actors and dancers were great and got the audience really involved.

Your actors and stage crew did a magnificent job. The humour, the audience participation, the singing and the dancing made the afternoon a major treat.

CHARITY
Risa Productions believes in giving back to the community and to those who may not have the means or opportunity to experience the magic of a live theatrical production. For us, the holidays are a time to share, laugh and give hope. This past year, we invited families from the GM Settlement House and the Durham Children’s Aid Society to see our production of Aladdin, A Traditional British Pantomime. Working with these two charities to give families in need the very special gift of theatre at Christmas time was a remarkable experience for Risa Productions. We look forward to making this our tradition for years to come.
